Aranmula uthrittathi water festival marking the idol installation anniversary of arnamula sree parthasarathy temple is all set to be held at sathrakadavu of pamba river.

The festival will begin with a procession of the palliyodams which is one of the most colorful events in kerala

A record umber of 43 palliyodams representing 41 NSS karayogams will participate in the colourful event.

Out of the 43 palliyodams (a different class of snake boats) 29 fall in the A batch with a capacity to accomodate 125 persons, including oarsmen and a singer.

There are 14 palliyodams in the B category.
